My name is Monica and I am a lifelong creative problem solver.
I started my career as an industrial designer with my most formative years designing sports training equipment. With a passion for the user and the ability to bring cross functional teams together, I am proud to have been a contributor and leader on a spectrum of products.
With an endless amount of curiosity, I am stepping into UX and bringing all of my ID experience with me. Being a user advocate who excels at taking complex problems and providing intuitive solutions hasn’t changed - its pivoted into a new context. I’ve gathered up some new tools and I’m ready to create enjoyable, viable, and profitable UX solutions.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and made the move out to San Diego in 2015. Chicago is very near and dear to my heart and all my friends have heard me go on about the city and hot dogs dragged-through-the-garden. One of my favorite things about California is year round access to the outdoors and national parks. When I’m not outside, I’ve been known to make some magic in the kitchen or make a mess with a DIY experiment.
"Monica is one of the most talented designers I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is great at reading between the lines, especially when passion takes the place of coherency in many of my briefs. She often knows what I am thinking and helps guide my mind towards that end."
